Bicycling and Me.

I started bicycling in October of 2010 thanks to Jacob a very dear friend and very accomplished rider who lives in a town called Coonoor ,a beautiful hillstation set in the picturesque Western Ghats of Southern India. He suggested i give mountain biking a try since i visit the hills so often being just a couple of hours drive from my hometown Coimbatore.
I took his advice and along with my brother Sanjay got ourselves a bike each.A Bianchi hybrid for Sanjay and a Cannondale F7 MTB for myself.I have now clocked 5500 kilometres in the past 15 months and its been pure joy.
Its been a fantastic year discovering the joys of mountain biking along with so many dear friends who now have the same passion for bicycling and adventure as i do.
Thats the reason i decided to start my own blog ,even though i have never been much of a writer ever. The rides that i have been fortunate to do over the last year have been so special and made me see the countryside in a totally different light and enjoy the outdoors in a way that one can only being on the saddle of a mountain bike in my humble opinion.
I hope to henceforth share my Mountain Biking Experiences through this blog and i hope u enjoy reading them.Cheers!

  2. Awesome Arjun!! good that you came up with the blog. It augurs well with the biking experience that you have got in a short time. Thanks team that concurred happily along. when i bought my first MTB canondale F9,I zeroed in on the terrain am going to ride, confined the f9 to only tarmac. with few rides in trails i was completely amazed with the bikes ability. I have to thank you, Sanjay and Jacob who emphasized the joy of MTB and as well taking me to the mountains....the situation was ineluctable for me :) I intend to say this or else i would never have taken mountainbiking without you fellas! MTB'ing not only takes you to places that are enchanting... it brings people together and as well to the bikes that we ride. It just amazes me when i sit back and get thro the pics of the places we rode.....which i was reluctant to earlier. Kudos to Sanjay for taking this seriously as he always..... and setting up a channel sales partner pgm and perusing the technical side of the bikes.Good going Sanjay! And coming at the the team that we have.... Brilliant as ever!:)

  4. when i tell people that I bike as a hobby, usually I get a very skeptical look. They wonder if I have lost my marbles or if it is some kind of sick joke. Then when I say I ride about 40 km or more, they really or completely flummoxed!! For all the skeptics and the non riders, I ride because I like it and I like what it does to me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to hang out with friends, and go to some brilliant places.
